Socio-Cultural Committee

Socio-Cultural Committee The Socio-Cultural Committee is responsible for some extremely dynamic, lively, spirited, spunky (as well as classy and dirty) Orientation Week events. Socio’s events kick off the week with a bang at Frosh Parade, get a little wacky at Carnival Night, get you totally entranced at the hypnotist, cover you in shaving cream at Frosh Olympics, have a blast at Frosh Night Out, teach you all about Queen’s University’s History at the Heritage event, and then end things off by breaking it down at Semi-Formal.

The Socio-Cultural Committee also has a responsibility to ensure that all first years feel welcomed, respected and valued, and to promote the history and diversity of the Queen’s campus community through Heritage. All of these events offer you some amazing opportunities to interact and bond with your peers and to get accustomed to your new surroundings — and of course enjoy yourselves while creating some fantastic memories!
