If you are a Queen’s club, organization or outside business there are some great opportunities to take part in ASUS Orientation Week 2013 and introduce and advertise yourself to incoming students. SIDEWALK SALE 2013

This Sale is our biggest event at ASUS Orientation and open to everyone in and around Queen’s campus and the Kingston community, attracting crowds of more than 10 000 people throughout the course of the day. This is a wonderful venue to not only showcase your organization, business or club, but also contribute to the charity we sponsor, Shinerama. This event is a part of an effort to raise money for the Shinerama Foundation, Canada’s largest post secondary fundraiser, with all proceeds going towards Cystic Fibrosis Canada, towards research and patient care. UPCOMING DEADLINE: The deadline for the Sidewalk Sale Early Bird Special is this July 1st. Make sure to get your applications and payments in if you want the early bird reservation for your booth. It is first come, first serve.

TOUR OF THE TOWN

This afternoon event is dedicated to introducing incoming students to the great City of Kingston and its establishments that they can enjoy during their time at Queen’s. If you are a business in downtown Kingston, this is a great opportunity to showcase yourself to over 2000 incoming students that will be passing through. All businesses must pay in order to be included on the tour and the money from the event will be donated to Shinerama. Visit queensshinerama.com for more details.

QUEEN’S IN THE PARK

Queen’s in the Park aims to showcase the variety of clubs, services, health resources, and employment opportunities available at Queen’s and within the City of Kingston. If you are a Queen’s club or organization, this is a great way to introduce yourself to incoming students and encourage them to take advantage of the many opportunities at Queen’s.
If you are interested in participating in Queen’s in the Park 2013, please contact the organizers at QITP.ASUSOrientation@gmail.com before June 1, 2013. Additionally, due to limited space in the park we will ask that you submit a brief summary of your club indicating why you feel you would be a positive contributor to Queen’s in the Park 2013.
